Man Mark, what a great photo journal of that route.

nice and efficient.

Thanks for putting it all together for us!

Totems getting plenty of overtime, I am building a double rack of them.

Best thing since camhooks I hear...

Great shots... many thanks.

Note to self: "Buy at least 2 sets of totem cams"

We took four sets since they so effectively replace offsets.

Hey Mark,
Those shots are so excellent. Lots of blankness all around you. I appreciate the before/after photos of selective bolt upgrades, too. You guys had way too much sunshine. So unfair. I start shivering every time I think of my last trip up. (And only partly from fear.)

Thanks for posting,
Raaf

Edit: Thanks to you those Totems rank way higher on my Xmas wish list.

Overall, weather, partner, quality of the climbing, it was one of my best El Cap experiences ever.

Thanks Mark,

At least now I know to add adult diapers to the gear list for leading L23. According to the topo there is a half-assed .5 cam and a machine head for a 155 foot pitch!!!

The pitch is actually not that bad. Right off the anchor, doing the crux, you're looking at a 50 footer but after that its all hard moves to comfortable stances. After the first crux, you won't fall.

Not that we need any more proof that Max Jones is bad ass, but look at photo 71 of 149 and tell me you don't see Max's shadow as a bear snacking on a bunny rabbit.

Wonder how they got through that section with the totems on the fa?

Fat angles tied off?

Scary looking, even with the totems!
