is that on the pitch to peanut?

if so is that just before the 5.7 echoing flake?

if so.. there was a head in that hole a few years back...  i think..  it was in the dark and i was fighting off the plague at the time..

..i'm sure that all helps..

I placed two of those about a hundred years ago somewhere in New Hampshire. They are not really a bolt, nor a rivet, nor a pin. The have a stubby end that is hammered into the rock but it is not split or anything. It would sort of be like a hard copperhead hammered into a hole with a piton eye on it.

Part of the belay bolts if I remember correctly. Off to the right side on a slight angled corner to the other belay bolts. I'm pretty sure I hung the portaledge off it while munge took us to peanut.

I remember that thing looked like the "bolts" that got pulled from Cerro Torre. And I remember thinking from the pictures that those things didn't look like they went in a long way....

There was also that weird bashie thing where the supertopo says "reachy sideways hook" that looked like a big aluminium head driven straight into a 1/4 inch hole. Lots of strange shrapnel lurking up there
