WOS: The Film - Ammon ups the ante......again
« on: August 11, 2011, 10:05:25 pm »
Ammon posted this on Facebook, Friday.  Looks like the producer (a friend of mine) of this film has me on the line to climb 1 day with whoever pledges 2k, or more. I will up the ante with 3 days of climbing, or for that matter; however long it takes to climb a route of your
choosing, within reason of course?Nightmare on California Street is out of the question, as well as the 3rd ascent of Wings, haa haa

Ammon and Kait climb El Capitan's most difficult and controversial route,
testing the limits of their ability and their relationship.

While I'm kinda indifferent about the route, I probably would watch your film.
I climbed El Cap with Ammon once. He's great fun & a solid partner. We had a blast .
Good luck on your project. I look forward to it.

fascinating, a film. Didn't think it would happen.

I've expressed strong feelings, but they are much too reasonable for a tale of drama.

would like to learn more

I'm more interested in the route because the thing has become such a childish soap opera. Kait and Ammon are about the only participants who deserve any respect.

Mrak,
The film is definitely centered on Ammon and Kait.  The stories they have from the climb are INCREDIBLE.  The other stuff is background and ancillary. The film will be their story.

I signed up the other day. This thing needs to be put to rest, so hopefully a film will help.

Thank you to all who pledged. We hit our initial pledge goal and production continues with a trailer being edited next week.  I promise to lay off the forums asking for donations.

Thanks for all your support.

I'm not really much for climbing flicks but this one might be really interesting.

This looks to be good.

Though it might be another anomaly, like the story of Chongo in the New York Times, representing the whole to the public at large.

But I suppose history's often perceived through the anomalies.
