New as all get out!
« on: June 24, 2012, 08:18:00 pm »
Guys, just wanted to say a quick hi to everyone...I'm gearing up for my first wall possibly next spring, slowly learning the systems, as well as accumulating the massive amounts of gear!

Anyway, good to be here, and hope to learn a lot from everyone!

Should I say that you're gonna die for sure?
It's Wall Climbing, man. Toil. And glory.
Just like Life, but simpler.

Have fun out there, don't fear the bail.
Sometimes the difference between a layman and a journeyman is simply what he is allowed to believe himself to be.

Hey Kilroy,

I just did my first wall this spring thanks in large part to the the people on this site. Big walling is a lot of work and often not a lot of fun but man, the rewards are massive.

I recently saw Ammon post something to the effect of "you will be scared, you'll want to bail, for every reason you come up with to keep going up, you'll find 10 to come down, etc"

Just get on it. And keep going.
