Posted this over at the taco, but figured you guys would be a better audience. She's pretty awesome.  It has some really good climbing footage

Saw this when it popped up on Reddit. Really amazing insight.

She really captures part of the internal journey that is present in soloing. And her total disconnection from outside assistance is hardman like whoa.
Sometimes the difference between a layman and a journeyman is simply what he is allowed to believe himself to be.

She looks quite happy and content in the interview, but her pictures are so intense when she's out there. You know she's hanging out where most don't.

Que bueno!

Met her in the Valley when she put up Sargantana. Sweet gal. Fairly intense, that one.

Wow, what a badass. Neat to see her mention the dot.com fueled boom in bigwall climbing that was the late 90s,lol, at one point every tnf store had a portaledge setup  in the store and sold pitons such was the allure of the impossible.

thanks,
e

Pitons, such was the allure of the impossible.

I like it.

Amazing woman.  I sensed something special in her ever since I started helped her with gear and advice back in the A5 days, even though she hadn't yet done any of the amazing feats of which she has now done so many.  She was one of our featured climbers in the 1997 A5 catalog.
