Used a double rack of these on Mescalito and they were fantastic. They went in places a Camalot would never stick, and had an extremely solid, confidence inducing feel. Expensive though, and I still prefer Camalots for free climbing. Some day.....

They've been the Go-To cam on my last 3 El Cap routes.

Yeah, when I first saw that pod I though, "no fricken way". I have a straight on shot of it that I'll post later on.

I just got a set. Actually cobbled one together from Prolite, Gear Co op, and Backcountry Gear. Good thing I had a nice balance in my paypal account from selling some other gear.

Like I said in my ST thread, that was THE pic that sent me over the edge. Cant wait to use them.

cool. thx

the pic sold me when I saw that the stem was being stretched like you were hanging on the piece at the time of taking the shot.

I swear to god that Cheyne, Max and I have all mentioned that we place them and leave them only if we know we won't have to use it further on. It's the piece you're going to grab when you are reaching around some blind corner, trying to place a piece that you can't see, and you really NEED it to stick!

Max, who I've discovered is very witty, texted me from his Tribal Rite attempt this spring:

Max "Hey, I just found something bad with Totem Cams".

Me: "What?"

Max: "Not having enough of them!"

Hell yes.

Does anyone know of any sales on Totem cams?  I'm trying to pick up a set but now that retailers have them in stock I'm sure there are some good deals to be had.

I just bought a yellow from rock and snow via the link posted above, they were discounted to $63

I am limiting myself to one per paycheck until I am satisfied I have enough.

3 sets should do it.

Yellow is good. Blue is better.

Ha!

I had to replace Cobblediks Big pink totem after I threw it off the rack from a thousand feet up.

It is a starter on the rack now, little tweaked but still bomber.

LOL.

Try mgear.com It shows that they have 99 totems in stock. Purple available to ship now. Shitty timing for me. I just had to do the timing belt on the car....
