Pretty sure it is the north face route.

Yup, they've been posting all over FB and Instagram about it

"The new line ascends the overhanging wall to the left of the 1960 first-ascent route (5.9 A4, Chouinard-Kamps-Pratt). Pratt returned eight years later with Dennis Hennek to force a more direct and difficult finish. The Constant Gardener joined the 1960 route for its final pitches."

Trying to reconcile if this is the route Miwok and Coiler were on in the summer heat a year or so ago.

Cobble, do you have a good pic of this wall with the lines?

Oh yeah,  I forgot that coiler has done all of the routes on the spires!

We should ask him how it was.

From nanook's site, I don't have any panos of upper cathedral

As far as I can tell, it is essentially all new terrain. HOWEVER, I have not heard about Coiler's new efforts up there. They would most certainly have bumped into evidence of Coiler et al.'s ascent if they had traveled the same terrain. It seems to me like a super bitchin FA.

My old boss in the NPS used to tell me that "If you don't tell someone you did something, you never did it." This media explosion sure seems to support that statement.
