apples to apples...

how about:   "the nose or the salathe"???

seems like there is some good debate on the merits of each.     

from pictures and tr's, it just seems there there isn't as much 'good' climbing on the salathe as the nose.       true or false?

Depends on how one defines good. Whole lotta wide on the Salathe. Still a Classic line, though.

Hmmm... different animal, the Nose is awesome but the Salathe has some pretty unique positions and climbing. The Headwall, even at A1, is pretty freaking wild. Sitting on the Spire is awesome, the chimney behind it is crazy...

right... the spire (well, and history etc etc) seem to be reason enough to climb it.

my perception of the climb is that all pitches are either OW, chimney or C1.    whereas the nose has tons of fingers/hands 5.9-5.10...
