FISH ECONOLEDGE? Any opinions?

Anybody got one of these... seems intriguing for only $250.  Just looking for experiences if you or someone you know, has one.

Search for earlier threads, this question has come up before.  No rainfly... I don't know, maybe you could make your own?  Ledge encourages staying on wall longer (greater exposure to bad weather), but without rainfly... hmm.   Deuce might have some open source patterns for A5 ledges that you could adapt to make your own.  I'd suggest trying to find a fly for it / developing a decent pattern first, then purchasing the ledge.  I've spent too much time working outdoors in crappy weather to want to wallow in it at night; I'm strongly opinionated about wanting to stay as dry as possible.
when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

I had one ( it disappeared - I think my ex - wife stole it ) and it is a fine ledge. If you are doing short walls where you know the weather is ok ( bring a bivy bag ) it is a great bargain. If you are doing long routes on El Cap, bring a fly ( get Fish's double ledge in that case )!!

I've got one, and it's seen a handful of nights on the wall, not as many as I'd like.  On the Prow in good weather it was great and comfy.  It is a good ledge, no corners cut on quality.  I did later buy a rainfly from russ for another $250.  You would really want a non-mesh floor in an all out storm, but for rain and fair weather walls it's a winner.  I do wish russ would put scuff guards on the ends for when you end up against a feature or in a dihedral.  I sewed one over one end after it got a bit chewed up on Tapir Terrace.

When i first got it I set it up in my buddies garage and we both climbed in and started thrashing about until we heard a crack.  Not the ledge, but the rafter we'd hung it on.

Mine was an early one with no daisies sewn on the straps, so I sewed on a bunch myself.  He now puts a couple on I hear.  Might be worth the extra dough to have him put a full set on like on the standard single ledge.

Bivy sack sounds like a good idea along with the fly...
heard it's a great summer ledge.
