I'm sure everyone is feeling the itch like me to get out to get on some longer climbs after some cold/wet weather this winter (i can't complain too much since i live in So Cal) so I have to wonder....what are your plans this upcoming spring? Let's hear those gradiose climbing desires of yours for the next climbing season.

I'll start.

Well hopefully I'm going to get out to Zion in March and jump on Touchstone to get my first ever Big Wall under my belt. (i know, i've been a lurker here much too long)  Then I'm taking the first two weeks of May to go climbing in Yosemite which I am SUPER stoked for! (as long as i can talk my buddies into jumping on Washington Column or Leaning Tower or something along those lines) Plus get in some longer free climbs. And by the way, if any of you all are going to be in the Valley those first two weeks of May I'm eager and willing to jump on a wall with you more experienced folk.

So let's hear your plans for this spring!

Punxsutawney Phil must be a sport climber.

Nice docket shaping up there, Scotty. Nice to have em lined up.

I've got a hammer, er monkey on my back...need to shoehorn a long weekend in to fire a small wall. I'm actually pretty damn stoked to have ongoing work. Usually this time of year is pretty slow. Local cross training on the MTBs bides the time.

It'd be great to see some of you cats get on the big stones before the thaw. I know you got it in ya, rats.
Say no to limbers, excavators and retro-bolters. No matter how much he smiles.

Going to scope out a wall on Sat for a solo attempt. I plan to go solo this thing by Easter. Not a giant (maybe 700') But still big enough to get techniques dialed and have some fun while training for when it REALLY counts!

- Going Ice climbing near Salt Lake on the 18th
- Taking my Girlfriend up Devils Tower in May
- Tongue River Cave on Memorial Weekend
- Mt Hooker in August
- Grand Teton for New Years

If anyone is interested I would be stoked to take a run up the Diamond on Longs.

As all my plans have been laid to waste, I'm wary of too much prior planning.
I'll let the season take me where it will.
I hope to get out on something big, some time or another.
With a bit of luck, it'll happen. That's how the Sawtooths foray went.
Made a plan, 2 days later, it came about. I have too many things out of MY control to see too far down the road.
We'll see, though.

I'm hoping to get in at least one grade V and some smaller stuff in the 2 months before our baby arrives, hard to predict after that...

2 of 3 weather forecasts show this coming weekend as warm (8 C) and sunny - great for climbing, not so good for the olympics  ;)

Aw, it's nothing in particular, just that Life keeps dealing me body blows.
I'll PM ya & whine, if ya don't mind. Not for public perusal.
Still gonna get out sometime. I don't get too down, I just keep my head down.

Valley in late April to early May.  Currently most psyched about the Afroman trip report.  If the weather is crap, I'll turn it into a ski trip.

weekend plans with +1 day off around it, are slowly eroding my week long plans for bigger projects.

as of right now, I have purchased a plastic membership to get in shape.  First time I've paid full retail for a membership.
