Still a big wall climb?

Sounds like a good place to get away from people and long-lens cameras.

But I don't get around much...
Say no to limbers, excavators and retro-bolters. No matter how much he smiles.

Skully, isn't that your backyard? :)

Hey speaking of which I'll be up in the region next week.  NV, to WY, to ID, mostly touristy shit with some easy climbing with the old lady. Give a shout if you can get away for a session.

Munge, it is my backyard. Less of a big wall than a huge crag. There is however some stuff that is PDH rated there though. There is one of the guys that did some firsts of a lot of the lines on our cragging crew putting up new lines up here. I am sure he has the lowest of lowdown if you have questions. It is only a 4 hour drive for me, so if you need something looked at closely, I am most certainly your huckleberry.

All joking aside, I have some of it in a Falcon guide book, I can loan it if you are seriously considering. There is more just north and just south too.

Bob,

good man!  thx. This one?  http://www.backcountrygear.com/catalog/accessdetail.cfm/FAL114
looks like it's still in print.

I guess I'd be curios if they still rate Marvins wall A3?  The approach looks cake.  What's the climbing like?   Not likely I'll get that way, so no need to loan, and wouldn't want to pry into the new route potential, unless your bro wants to post up here about new Grade V or VIs?  :)

thx hombre!

well, we ended up going this way among other areas. Didn't climb, but I bring good tidings of rock tall and relatively easy to access.

3 cattle drives later we were able to get on the main hwy

the bugs! don't get me started on the skeeters up there in the meadows. pick up a small child easily...

yet in Blodgett canyon, didn't get chewed on at the main parking area.

Paging Kurt K... he's done some BW nailing stuff up this way.

now, as for the Oreganos. Well, there is enought voclanic columnar in the Columbia River gorge to feed an army!  wowza!  massive amounts of climbing rock east of Multanomah Co.

I just moved from Missoula.  I climbed all the major buttresses except Nez Perce.  Shit is loose and hard once you get off the trade routes in Blodgett.  And shit is hard regardless.  I'd suggest trying some of the free routes on the other buttresses before you go scratching up Nez Perce.  Marvin's Wall is probably the least inspiring face back there, in my opinion.  Still wish I did Modern Home Environment though.
